Skill Level: All

This Overlocker Course suits anyone who has an overlocker! Don't give up on this amazing machine. Once you've mastered a few basics, you'll find that it will become a regular part of your sewing. The class is limited to 5 students, so you'll have plenty of one-on-one time with your instructor (and your own overlocker).

I have walked away with new knowledge and tools on how to optimise my use of my overlocker; how versatile the overlocker machine can be to use in different projects. It has been a very valuable course and I would highly recommend it

taming your overlocker Course Details

An overlocker, or serger, is a versatile sewing aid that can intimidate even confident sewers. The sewing course gives an introduction to overlocker techniques and is designed to give students the confidence to use their machine to its full potential. During these classes, students work on a number of samples that are a take home reminder of what can be achieved.

You'll need to bring your overlocker and instruction manual to class. That's the machine you'll be taming. Did we mention the instruction manual? If you've lost or misplaced it, it's likely that you'll be able to find the information online.

This class is open to everyone: home sewers, hobbyists and professionals. It's also available as part of the Professional Program or HSC Textiles Program.
