You’ll graduate in two years as a strong fashion all-rounder, equipped with both ready-to-wear and couture construction techniques including technical drawing, garment specification and fashion illustration and business skills.

Fashion Design Courses | FAQs

No you don’t need an ATAR to study fashion design at CAFA. Entry is based on your interest, commitment and suitability for the program. Prior sewing or design experience can be helpful, but it is not essential.

A portfolio is not required for admission. However, students may be asked to share examples of creative work or attend an interview to ensure the program is the right fit.

Yes. Our courses develop technical skills in pattern making, garment construction and design development, alongside commercial understanding — all essential for launching and sustaining a fashion label. As a sampler, you may enrol in Start Your Own Label short workshop.

Yes. Students may continue their studies by progressing into higher-level qualifications, with selected units credited where appropriate.
