Pattern Making Courses
Create your own garments and bring your designs to life with specialised pattern making skills and construction techniques.
Sewing Classes
Elevate your garments from home-made to couture with one of our twelve specialised sewing classes for a range of skill levels.
Dressmaking Courses
Learn to sew from a commercial pattern. We offer beginners and intermediate classes and we’ll teach you all the fitting and finishing techniques.
Fashion Design Courses
Enrol in our Diploma of Fashion Design & Garment Construction or choose a single unit from our fashion design program.
HSC Textiles & Design
Our students regularly feature on the HSC distinguished achievers list, including first in State. We’ll help you achieve your best result.
Tailoring Classes
Master the specialised design, cutting and sewing skills and exquisite workmanship of bespoke tailoring for jackets or pants.

THE COUTURE WAY
We teach sewing, pattern making and fashion design to all skill levels. From absolute beginners who want to learn to sew, to skilled home sewers wanting to tackle advanced projects, aspiring designers who want professional credentials to embark on a career in the fashion industry and HSC Textiles & Design students who are seeking a mentor.
Couture Arts Fashion Academy (CAFA)
At CAFA (formerly in2Mode Fashion College & Sewing School), we teach techniques used in French couture houses, combined with cutting-edge, luxury ready–to–wear design and construction methods. This blend of the old and the new equips both home sewers and professionals with specialist sewing techniques.
We Welcome All Skill Levels
Our goal is to inspire our students and equip them with the expertise and experience to stay true to their vision. We provide a solid grounding for our students undertaking the professional program to be successful in the fashion industry with a one year Certificate and a two year Diploma program. We also offer a comprehensive range of Sewing, Pattern Making and fashion classes and Workshops for home sewers. Everyone is welcome and all skill levels are catered to.
Flexible Class Times
We recognise the pace of life today and offer a flexible timetable which allows you to study at a time that suits you. We run daytime and evening classes during the week, as well as daytime classes on Saturdays. As one of the top fashion academies in Sydney, we're committed to providing you with a flexible and exciting learning experience.
Hands-On Experience
All students receive hands-on support from teachers who love what they do. Our experienced staff enable students to create stunning pieces of work that will give them an edge. We curate a learning experience to equip students for an exciting and fulfilling career in the fashion industry.
The Business of Fashion
Our founder, Gaylene McCaw, started her career with a double degree in accounting and law, so she's uniquely placed to ensure that CAFA students complete their fashion studies with the business savvy to succeed. Too many talented designers underestimate the importance of business know-how in what is one of the most competitive industries.
